Glitch at 5:20 Brief left channel dropout at 23:39 Noise at 23:51 Glitch at 49:40 Several glitches from 50:27 - 50:30 Some peak noise (clapping) in left channel at 52:49, then 62:47, 62:52, 62:53, 62:54, 62:54, 62:58, 63:07, 63:14, 63:18, 63:25 (maybe more flaws) Disc #2: -------- Peak noise levels in RIGHT channel at: 11:10, then clapping at: 11:21, 11:24, 11:24, 11:25, 11:26, 11:26, 11:27, 11:28, 11:29, 11:29 (left channel), 11:29, 11:32, 11:33, 11:33, 11:34, 11:35, 11:36, 11:45 (left channel), also at 28:24 (left channel), 28:28, 34:21, 35:05. None of the peak levels (on either disc) is any significant problem, other than the fact that it is usually due to nearby clapping, wich may be slightly distracting on playback. There are also a couple of talkers on a couple of occasions .... but that's a different matter... Edits (measurements in CD frames (1/75 sec) unless otherwise stated: Silenced the 1st 13 seconds of recording (must have pressed the pause button for a few seconds). Glitch at 5:20 repaired from 01:62 seconds earlier, and a little de-clicking. L channel dropout (1002 samples) @ 23:39.12 patched from L channel 00.49 seconds (1 beat) later. (Moonglum) 26530 samples (more than 1/2 a second!) from 23:44.73 were pasted over a crackly-flaw 6 seconds later at 23:51.03. Drop-out at 49:40.09 was de-clicked (but is still audible) Glitches at 50:27 - 50:30 were de-clicked - but are still quite audible. Decreased the volume of loud clapping by reducing the 5 or so samples implicated to 50% at: 52:49.32, 62:46.74, 62:52.69, 62:53.52, 62:54.39, 62:54.70, 62:58.69, 63:07.13, 63:14.30, 63:18.61, 63:25.15 (this was only done where clipping could otherwise occur). On disc 2 I reduced the clapping peaks at: 11:10.43 (to 80%), 11:21.21, 11:21.71, 11:23.48, 11:24.23, 11:24.50, 11:25.51, 11:26.02, 11:26.27, 11:27.03, 11:27.54, 11:28.05, 11:29.03, 11:29.45, 11:29.55, 11:32.12, 11:32.23, 11:32.38, 11:33.13, 11:33.39, 11:34.38, 11:35.62, 11:36.13, 11:45.27, 28:24.52 (80%), 28:28.04 (80%), 28:28.04 (80%), 34:21.45 (80%), 35:05.72 (80%), 35:05.72 (80%). Unless otherwise stated, these reductions to 50%, sometimes minor redrawing as well. Always just one channel. MD flip joined in CEP multitrack view and resulting OBW (One Big Wave file) joined with preceding and trailing 1/2 second of silence. I applied a fade-out, swapped the channels (L to R & vice-versa), then saved the OBW for cutting with CDWAV. alimac@netcomuk.co.uk 4th January 2002
